Ideas for Vusion Manager

Problem:

The SSO credentials available for accessing the Vusion Manager are limited to Microsoft's platform. My firm uses the Okta platform for identity and access management.

Narrative:

My firm has a somewhat significant user base that it would like to expose to the Vusion Manager. In addition to the ~25 support and engineering users at the corporate headquarters, it is desired to provide access to at least one user in each of the retail storefronts utilizing the electronic tags. The user management within the Vusion Manager provides the appropriate access restrictions (i.e. users with 'store user' scope and assigned to a single store location). Since there would be at least 300 store-scoped users, management of each user as an individual would create a significant overhead for the team performing user management. Further, any users who left the company would need to be manually tracked and manually removed from the system.

The Okta platform is widely used for identity and access management. A Vusion Manager integration with Okta would allow my firm to manage users much more easily which subsequently reduces the risk of unauthorized users.

Proposed Solution:

Integrate Vusion Manager's log-in/credential system with Okta.
