When template needs to load images or icons for different layouts, the more templates the larger smf file if the images are uploaded into Studio. This will cause the settings can't deploy to V:Cloud or failure easily.
We proposed such customer to use external image server and always load the images from this server. We also already explained prices and pictures are public in the store but we should respect that customer still have doubts. We should provide secured connection or basic authentication to ensure the external image files are authenticated or this server is whitelisted.
We have tried something like https://id:password@image_link can't be previewed during drawer development and can't be loaded in production. We haven't supported HTTP basic authentication or any protected connection for such request.
Can we please support this in our Studio and V:Cloud when images/icons/POP/promotion elements are needed in large sizes of ESL loading from external image server?
Thanks.
