Aha Team,
It would be greatly appreciated if VUSION had at least one additional layer of hierarchy between Retail Chain and Store. Our company has 2,400 stores and we have 5 levels of hierarchy. Today, we either have to deploy APIs on either the store or chain level, which is doable, but being able to both organize stores in the VUSION UI and run APIs against a group of stores (call it a Cluster) would make things much easier.
Examples of why we would want to do this:
1) This would resemble how we handle almost all applications today - most UI supports grouping of stores at some, if not all levels we use.
2) This would make deploying BO files and regional templates/pricing.
3) We could run APIs at the "Cluster" level without having to customize each script as much. Even when we need to run against multiple "Clusters," it would be easier than having to add in dozens/hundreds of individual stores.
4) This would allow us to manage groups of stores that are not like the rest of the fleet (i.e. those in Hawaii that have different pricing, different Brands or Franchises) without having to create/manage multiple Retail Chains.
This is something my company is passionate about so please let me know if you have additional questions or would like to speak about this enhancement. I realize this might be a substantial undertaking to DEV/QA, but being the world leader in ESLs, i feel these types of innovations come with the territory. I would find it hard to believe i am the only customer that manages our stores in a multilevel hierarchy and we could all benefit from not having to create our own scripts for each API set we want to run against groups of stores.
Any update on this feature?
Hi Chris,
As discussed yesterday, we are currently checking how this can be done technically. I'll come back to you as sonn as we have more information on the feasibility.
Thank you for your idea,
BR,
Emmanuelle
