could it be possible to have a fonction called hide a label, to have the options match, unmatch and hide.
This option would be for a product that is temporarily unavailable and you would want to expand a product next to it.
if i could hide (put the label to sleep i would then just have to wake up the label by scanning it).
When you have a smaller store and with the amount of backorders now it makes it difficult to remember all your products if you would unmatch those label.
this is a function we would like to have
Hi,
Another solution can be to create a specific template in Studio and use the switch page from VLink to change the label display.
Unfortunately we will not implement this functionality as we have some possible alternatives to answer this needs and that allows us to prioritize developments for other features.
Best,
Emmanuelle
may i ask why its not something you guys can't considere?
it would be a third function next to match and unmatch called hide.
once you hide it and label goes to sleep you would wake up the label by scanning it
Hi Nelson,
Thank you for your feedback.
Unfortunately we will not be able to implement the label hiding request.
However, I can provide another way to do that ! Our recommendation and what are customers are going in that case:
Add a stock field into your data file
Create a specific scenario in Studio for "out-of-stock"
Implement a logic : when product stock is 0 => display this scenario
I am talking about "stock" field but it can be any field: availability true/false, etc.
Please don't hesitate if you have any question on this,
Best,
Emmanuelle
Hi Emmanuelle, this is correct, we installed about 35000 labels in 5 locations and all our managers are asking me for the same thing. at the moment our only options are to match and unmatch.
it would be nice to have the option to hide so we dont have to remove the label from the shelf when we double up the product next to it.
Dear customer,
Thank you for your idea and sorry for the very late reply.
I need to better understand your needs. From what I understand you want to be able to hide a label display when a product is missing so you don't have to remove the label from the shelf ? Is that correct ?
Best,
Emmanuelle
