It seems that there is no really good option to have the labels refresh for specific scenarios. The options that you have provided are not as robust as we currently need. A simple solution would be to enable the option to setup or schedule reoccurring tasks in vusion manager. For EX: If we have a store that has a sale that starts every monday at 12:01 am, we should be able to create a task that will refresh the labels every monday at say 1:30 am and have that task stay active until it is deleted. Currently once a task is completed, it is removed from the active task view in vusion manager. That would simplify the process much more than current options as the options outside of vusion manager fall short of providing that or require more work and coding. Currently I have not found a better way or a way that works in just that fashion with other methods. Most grocery stores will put sales prices weekly and through out the week and different type of sales on different items at different times. Most of the store employees are not very computer savvy and to expect them to remember to set a task in a site that they hardly use or different people use would end up causing more support calls for us where this could be avoided if we could setup tasks to refresh the tags every morning. I realize this would cause extra updates which would reduce the battery life of the tag however at this point, there needs to be a better way to trigger the scenario updates to the labels.
Dear customer,
Thank you for your idea.
We need to study the feasibility and impact of this feature. In the meantime, I can suggest a workaround.
Create your task
Put the execution date at the end of the year (for example - you can choose the date you want)
Then click on the "Play" icon on the task to execute whenever you want
That will allow you to see permanently (at least until the execution date you set) your task and also be able to re-execute it as much as you want. I know it is not automatic but that should at least help you a bit.
Best,
Emmanuelle
