Issue:
When registering an Access Point in a store and the AP is already registered in another store, VusionManager displays an error message "The transmitter is already registered in another store and can't be registered in this store". However, the user does not have any information in which store exactly the AP is registered, and hence need to search through all of his stores or contact support in order to get the info and solve the issue.
Background:
We have several customers with bigger retail chain which do move APs from one store to another due to modifications/changes in the store. APs are often handeled by network team of the customer or external partner who are only informed after AP is delivered to a new store and then face the challange that they run into the error message, and need to contact support for finding out the original store to remove the AP.
Request:
To solve the problem it would be helpfull to create either a possibility to search AP IDs via VusionManager on the retail chains to which a user has access (as some customers also move APs from one RC to another e.g. if they change the model in one country but reuse them in another) with a search function or to adapt the error message and show the store ID.
Comment: Option 2 seems to be the easier adaption. The storeId should be of course only displayed if the AP is registered in the same retail chain. Due to customer data protection we should not show the storeId from other retail chains (other customers). In this case, we should display the error message without the storeId and in this specific case, the customer has to still contact VusionGroup support.
For a search function on retail chain level it would be ideal if it is possible to search an AP ID accross all retail chains to which a user has access.
