Since the arrival of EdgeSense, we now see when a display is plug or unplugged.
It would be nice to be able to setup hook (from POST /stores/{storeId}/hooks) for RAIL_PLUG & RAIL_UNPLUG so that we can make some automation without to actively check VusionCloud like:
When a rail is plugged, reach Planogram database to get itemId to match on that ESL (from the rail level, and ESL plugged order).
When a display is plugged on a specific rail, trigger an action, like ESL unmatching or delete
When a rail is unplugged, do a unmatching or delete after a specific time.
Above is just example, I believe EdgeSense will help lot with Automation.

That is a good idea that we will consider for monitoring purposes for instance. Maybe not exactly like this, but using more the plug/unplug event is important.
