I am writing to forward a request from our client, "******".
We are aware that the current system specification strips the leading "0" from 13-digit EAN barcodes to process them as 12-digit UPC-A codes. However, this logic is causing an increased workload when registering item information into the References. Additionally, displaying the codes without the leading "0" during the matching process is causing confusion for the operators on site.
To resolve these issues, we would like to request a system update to disable the automatic conversion to 12-digit UPC-A codes during barcode scanning.
We would highly appreciate it if you could review this matter and let us know your thoughts.
