Product: VManager
Category: Feature Request / Monitoring & Visibility
In VManager, the store list currently provides indicators showing the status of infrastructure components such as offline Rails and APs.
However, there is no equivalent indicator for Captana cameras, making it difficult for users to quickly identify stores experiencing camera connectivity issues.
Currently, camera information is only available through the Cameras tab within each individual store. While this allows users to check camera status at store level, it does not provide a global overview of camera connectivity across all stores.
Users must navigate into each store individually to identify offline cameras, which is not efficient for customers managing a large number of stores.
Ideally, the store list should also display the number of offline cameras per store, similarly to the existing Rails and AP indicators.
This enhancement would be particularly valuable for large retail customers such as Carrefour, where thousands of cameras are deployed across multiple stores.
Having camera connectivity information directly available in the VManager store list would improve operational monitoring, incident detection, and support efficiency, while providing users with a centralized overview of camera availability across their entire store network.
